Hi band-its!

1st of all, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to those who came down today to help in shifting! I understand it is very tiring to move so many instruments on a Saturday morning! Thank you so much! :)

2nd, BAND PRACTICES HAVE TEMPORARY STOPPED DUE TO Common Tests coming up! Regarding this point, if you WANT to take the initiative to look through your scores and do some score studying, which you should be doing because we do not have much time to our Pops And Classics 2011, please look for SLs and we will be able to open the storeroom(yea the new one, don't have to go to block 71 already! it's at Block 73!) and get the scores out for you guys to photocopy(MUST RETURN ONCE YOU PHOTOCOPIED). Section Leaders, you are responsible for the scores. To those sections who have printed the scores out and distributed it out, GOOD JOB! To those who have not done so, please contact the Librarians(James and Jing wen) if you got their numbers, if not, please ask from me! Common tests are very important, study hard and prove that we not only can play music, and also study well!

3rd, Band Practices will resume on 13th June, 6pm-9.30pm. See you guys AND girls at Seventy3, #04-03! :)

To any NP Concert Band members who have not joined the group, please join and keep yourself updated as that is also a place that we will share information other than the blog!

5th, The address of our new music studio is updated at the 1st page of the band blog. Seventy3, #04-03. FYI, the room is fully card access. The President, Vice President and 2 Quarter Masters(Hazmei & Si Yuan) will have to both the Music Studio and the store room.

Some VERY IMPORTANT UPDATES to do here..

Upcoming event
1) Shift to Seventy3 
    Date : 21st May 2011
    Time : 9am
    Location to report : Current Band Room 71-02-08
    Things to bring : Nothing actually, don't have to wear too fanciful, expect to sweat a little, just bring your
                             strength! (Y) remember to eat your breakfast! section breakfast :D
    New Music Room and Club room : 73-04-03(music studio!). Clubroom is at level 1. :)
   
 
 
    Just to inform you guys, we have the BIGGEST Music Studio to us at level 4! The basic set up for Seventy3 is like Munch and Club Rooms on level 1(yay, a very near canteen from the band room, much nearer, hope this can help in starting practices on time!), classrooms on level 2, dance studios on level 3, MUSIC STUDIOS on LEVEL 4.

Next practice will be on Monday, 16th May! 6pm-9.30pm! :)

Hi Band-its, we have less than 3 months to P&C. Even though repertoire for Pops & Classics 2011 have not been confirmed, I believe most of us KNOWS through hearing, feeling, playing inside the band, looking, etc, THAT the standard of this band is not there. We need to do PROPER AND SERIOUS sectionals. SLs, please hold your respective sectionals and LET ME KNOW the date and timing. Thanks.

Next Practice will be next Monday 9th May 2011, 6pm at block 71. Practices location, date and timings are the same unless otherwise stated that there is a change. Mondays and Thursdays, 6pm, block 71 student clubs. SEE YOU!
